Rules

Aside from the required word count per entry (as indicated in the course syllabus) and the expectation that your writing meets the standards set in the Blogging Rubric), here are some other rules I expect you to follow:

  1. You must have one 1000-word blog entry for each week of episodes screened in class. If you find it easier to think of this as a two-part blog entry where the first 500 words deal with one batch of four/five episodes and the other 500 words focused on the other four/five, please feel free to do so but clarify which episodes you’re talking about by using their titles.
  2. You and another classmate may earn additional points for class participation if you leave a substantial comment on a blog entry that generates an equally substantial response. The blog entry can be someone else’s, e.g., Student #1 writes a blog entry and Student #2 comments. If Student #3 replies with another comment, both Student #2 and #3 get class participation points.
  3. Images and clips (from, say, YouTube) are not required for blog entries, but they will be appreciated if they enhance the content of what you’re saying.
  4. Every entry you write must be tagged with your six-digit ID number. Aside from these, you may come up with your own tags to better describe your entry.
